Uhm, sure, you moved to Pitts without an inclination to get a higher paying job ... But I think we all need to recall that you really were amazed that you even got to get a raise into the work you had previously. It would almost identify that the boom helped you get a better paying position, lots of slack time, and some level of prestige for ... well, I guess your good looks!

Needless to say, there are not "a lot" of well paying jobs being created. Most of the reports show that many of the "new" well paying jobs being created are merely positions being re-filled after hasty layoffs for the majority. The only new growth has been in sectors most science fiction writers and other politico forecasters gave back in the late 70's when the number of children being produced by baby boomers was released: mostly medical and other support industries.

I don’t assume that there will not be a large part of the older to mid Gen-X’s that simply become forced into that overwhelming apathy that has become the national norm.

And like all these little fucks out there who are writing viruses: those who having nothing to gain or lose from a pursuit will lead everyone into a minefield.

Ah, nothing likely a Tony’ly fragmented tie in to all things Nihilist, eh?
