Dave, I like what you're saying here. I have to run off to work, but let me make two quick points:

1) I have never once said I am voting for Bush. I am voting for Badnarik. I believe the only way we will see any change in our national politics is if the voters start voting outside the two parties and show the big shots that candidates like John Kerry are not good enough - we should demand more.

2) While it's true that much of what can be said about Kerry can also be said of Bush, it's the supporters I question. Tho whole idea of voting against a candidate rather than for one really irks me and goes a long way in showing how we have got ourselves to a Bush/Kerry matchup in '04 in the first place. Furthermore, go ask an average Bush supporter why they support Bush and you are likely to hear something about Bush. Ask a Kerry supporter about why they support Kerry, and you are also likely to hear something about Bush. Try this (I do it all the time, and it always works): press the Kerry supporter and demand that they tell you about Kerry, not about why they hate Bush. You will not likely get anything resembling an intelligible answer. Oftentimes they will resort to calling you bad names. Many will simply not discuss it, and some will actualy admit that they don't really know what Kerry stands for (to be fair, who does?). I have yet to find a Kerry supporter who can articulate an argument in support of Kerry being the President - I'm sure there is one out there, but I can only report on my own experience.

Have a good one.
