I have never really held back my point-of-view on an issue-by-issue basis, and I have often used links to Badnarik opinion articles to further clarify where I am coming from on a particular issue. Still though it is said that I do not speak of Badnarik and his libertarian platform enough. First off let me say that the reason I rail so harshly against Kerry is because the man and his cadidacy scare the hell out of me. He wants to further socialize our economy, and he wants to broaden the dependence of the citizen upon the government. It's a sad platform which pleads to ignorance and it's popularity confounds and frightens me.
That said, here is a brief synopsis of the case for Badnarik.
Badnarik is a libertarian, and pretty much a party-line libertarian. What this means is that he expects you to stand on your own feet and if you stumble, he expects you stand up, brush off, and try again. Libertarianism believes in and supports the ideals of dependence on one's self rather than government run agencies such as welfare, and the redistribution of wealth through taxation.
The issues become relatively simple from this platform. Take, for example, a recent hot topic: health care. While Kerry aims to nationalize the system a la Karl Marx or Hillary Klinton, and Bush wants to continue the current non-functional system of pseudo-capitalism with a strong injection of subsidization and protectionism, Badnarik would turn the industry into a true consumer-driven entity forced to compete on an even keel amongst eachother for the consumer dollar (<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.badnarik.org/Issues/HealthCare.php).">http://www.badnarik.org/Issues/HealthCare.php).</a>
The same goes for EVERY industry because economics (minus governmental regulation) work generally the same regardless of industry. Privatization is generally painful at first, but always beneficial in the long run, but you can't go half-way. What I like about Badnarik and the libertarians in general is that they have a belief structure which they feel is worth fighting for and that they do not compromise on in order to garner a wider voting audience.
That's just a small taste of what I like about Badnarik. I'll do more later. Hopefully you people will be less abusive in the future, and realize the reasons behind my posts. If you think something else should be posted, then POST IT YOURSELF!
