OKAY guys, I've read this thread, but I have no idea what to suggest that my kid study in college -- or trade school.

Where will the American worker find work 10 years from now?

What should Amercian kids study?

Can today's American kids expect to have a "better" life style than their parents had?

If someone doesn't add value to a product or service, how does s/he fit into an employment/survival equation?

What is the endgame -- surely it is not having the last word but rather finding a way to ensure that basic needs are met. Oh, we want more than basic needs? Missed that. What must one do to enjoy a life where more than basic needs are met?

Whose responsibility is it to ensure my or you guys' basic needs are met? To ensure that you guys' or my desires beyond basic needs are fulfilled? Who promised me a rose garden? Wo promised you guys a rose garden? Roses have thorns as well as fragrance.
