First of all, you cannot overstep any invitation, because this is a decidedly open forum. You can talk about anything except for . . . well - anything.

Except for disco. We don't do disco in this here joint.

Silliness aside, good questions:

Top 10 Issues:

1) The Global Economic Structure. The dollar will continue to hold sway on humanity as a whole, and we will see a significant switch in the center of power (away from the US, to Europe, China, and India.)

2) Technology. Not enough can be said about the impact of technology on the lives of everyone. Will it be used for positive change (new agricultural processes) or continued commercialism (N'SYNC singers in space)?

3) Disease. There will be an outbreak. We will not stop it, we have not begun to be prepared. There are too many people on the planet, but this problem will be partially rectified by mother nature herself.

4) Civil rights and liberties. There will be a day when the rights of the few are measured fairly against the rights of the many. This will tie directly in with issue number 1, the golbal economic structure. Humanity will face a decision between the cattle/herder mentality required by modern economic structure, and a more liberated yet less wealthy existence.

5) This is getting hard.

6) Internationalism vs. Nationalism. We are already trending toward a preference for internationalism where a global governing commitee seems to cover most major topical areas (civil rights, international trade, conflict negotiation, etc.). As we trend away from local governance the rights of the individual are diluted - where is the balance? This will tie into point 4.

7) That's all. Too much beer.

I will talk about your other questions tommorow. Good ones though - keep it up!
