issue: the absense of any connection to prevention.

how do I protect my own teens? -- what is the meaniing of life? -- you name it, the last month, I have harbored significant fears that 5 friends/acquaintences/relatives were contemplating the same exit.

why does it hold such power over us.

the urban legend is that his girl friend has burned her prom dress -- the tragedy is that no matter how isolated we ourselves may feel, someone else knows we are alive and will suffer with our senseless passing. and that someone may be one we are not thinking of, not even aware of.

and now a mother has killed her three children, her lover, and herself. do we dare trust ourselves not to do the same?

I just read a quote from kahil: "Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and talke alms of those who work with joy." Not that it has ANYTHING to do with this thread, but it is good advice.

wish you had a chat with this MB
