Subject: More misinformation: Al-Qaida and Iraq

So if you've been reading the headlines you'll see that most of the media is now reporting that the 9/11 Commission found that there was no connection between Iraq and Al-Qaida. Of course, they are liars, and the commission never even said this.

What they lacked, and all that they stated that they lacked was that there was a clear, and inarguable connection between Iraq and Al-Qaida in regards to the 9/11 attack.

It's funny now that even major liberals are standing up against this finding which would seem to be very damaging to the Bush whitehouse. Clinton has come out in defense of the war, and Lieberman has come out and spoke first to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, then the next day to the conservatively biased Sean Hannity radio show. Kerry, not surprisingly, hasn't made a peep - obviously happy to let politics take priority over intelligence.

There is in fact quite a lot of evidence regarding the connection between Iraq and Al-Qaida. Al-Qaida operatives are known to have met on many occasions with Iraq security coordinators, and many Al-Qaida operatives have been found taking refuge in Iraq. The list goes on and on, and even Russian president Vladimir Putin has come out in the public eye to make sure the record is set straight - he and Kremlin intelligence were very clear in their communication with the Bush White House: there is a clear and present connection and a clear and present danger with regards to the connection between Iraq and the Al-Qaida network.

What am I getting at here? The media is not your friend. Don't just read past the headline, but read the whole story. Find the documentation - most of it is easily available on the internet - and make up your own mind. To quote the great Public Enemy: "Don't Believe The Hype."
