A metal
chain bangs forgotten on the door, once upon a time it had kept the
doors chained and padlocked shut in night. But that was a time long ago,
when this building was used to store exports of wine and sugar. But now,
the building lays abandon and failed to be remembered. The windows are
boarded and shattered from where children threw rocks at them. Glass
lays traumatized all over the ground...as if the building had cried its
eyes out. Abandoned and forgotten into the past...
Aw, but looks can be deceiving. For, past the run down elevator lays a
secret. Humans would never find it, not in a million years. They are to
simple minded and easily give up. Precautions along the way keep even
the smarter of the human dumbfounded. For instance, the door of this
forgotten warehouse says, ‘Condemned’, so now only the stupid or
daring would continue. Rats, an unplanned precaution, but one all the
same, keep those of timid hearts out. Now, only the brave travel forth.
And if that be the case, once upon reaching the elevator...it simply has
ceased to work. Yes to humans it’s broken...but to the smarter they
discover the real panel of buttons beneath its fake front. And still,
none knows what this grand secret is that they are creeping forward to.
Pressing the third floor button on the real panel jolts the elevator to
life...as it rattles and creaks you wonder if it was wise getting into
it. It seems just like the kind of trap one might set for a nosey human.
Just then, the elevator jerks to a stop, throwing the unprepared against
the walls.
Seemingly you are trapped, but just as you begin hopeless pressing
buttons, the elevator jerks to life. But not because something you’ve
done. Suddenly the elevator comes to a slow stop and the doors part.
Before you, stands a very modern hang out. Complete in every way, this
makes the coolest hang out in the area, for lack of words. |
