That's because you're an idiot.

Swarkofsky is the first name of a prisoner interviewed at Pelican Bay by PBS. PBS did a two hour documentary special on Pelican Bay. If you see it on television now, you get the short edit format without Swarkofsky's interview.

Pelican Bay was a horrendous prison in California where guards not only bet on prisoners fighting to the death, the guards set-up matches for prisoners and filmed the death-matches. This involved general population prisoners.


Swarkofsky Hymes is a tall, imposing 6'7" very muscular, athletic-loooking man - like a pro-football linebacker. He was one of three prisoners interviewed, but he was the only death row, solitary confinement prisoner interviewed.

When interviewed, Hymes is asked why he is in prison.

Swarkofsky replies that, "he was set-up by the white establishment and framed for a crime he did not commit."

When asked what he was sentenced to Pelican Bay for, Hymes replies, "Strangling two men to death."

As the interview raps up, a voice-over explains that Swarkofsky Hymes is serving four life sentences, because since his incarceration, he has killed two prisoners and a prison guard.

All three men were strangled.

All five men were black, like Mr. Hymes. At his trial, Mr. Hymes was positively identified by 7 key witnesses (all black community members).

Now guess why I post as Swarkofsky Hymes at the BET board, coconut boy.

Read a little history Gilligan, there were three major potato famines in Ireland, caused by the cursed British.

The huge influx of Irish immigrant workers threaten jobs and wages on the east coast (they were cheaper than slaves).

There were labor wars and as a result many irishmen were killed for years because of their ethnicity. Later, municipalities regulated where Irishmen could live and work and how they much they could be paid.

Irishmen, Chinamen, and Blacks died by the thousands building the railroads because it was one of the few jobs they were allowed to have.

Two Cents at BET would have you believe that because the Irish had white skin, they were not 'really' repressed.
