It wasn't a massacre, it was a protest against the communist regime.

No, the protester was protesting communism and simply stood in front of the tank. He didn't kill anyone, didn't shoot at anyone, and was completely unarmed. He was a guy with bigger balls than most of us will ever come to have, trying to make a difference in a country that was oppressing its people.

Agreed, but if I'm shooting at a target range, and someone walks in between the muzzle of my gun and my target, I will try to avoid pulling the trigger again. If they walk right into my line of fire and get hit, I would feel bad and begin first aid. I wouldn't feel guilty, but I would definitely feel bad.

Air Force, and I'm not actually "in" yet. I am waiting for a class date. Sort of like enlisting into the Delayed Entry Program (the time between when you enlist and go off to basic), only I'm going in as an officer. My class should start about August 13th, and I'm driving, so I can spend a day or two stalking Gwydion, Khronos and Dammitboy.
