Why are drugs illegal? Why are guns illegal? Why is selling porn to underaged kids illegal? Why is homosexuality illegal?

There's no reason for these things and has humanity progresses they slowly absolve and humanity itself looks back upon their history with shame, just as we now think it's stupid that witches were once hunted and homosexuals frowned upon etc. etc.
