hi there! i'm wondering if it's ok to write on here if you're a 'resting' teaching assistant, was a champion dancer but now retired from the scene as of last year? because that's me! hello there! i love ID but like the posters so far I do get frustrated with the politics. I even had reason to write and complain to the ID commission last year and did I even receive a reply? nope! not a word back - how rude is that? i'm having a rest from any involvement with dancing as i got so sick of being used by the teacher i was helping...this teacher was a right one i can tell you - emotive displays beyond belief, manipulation, lies, the LOT!!! I mean I am talking one hugely wounded human being here...and did this teacher abuse her pupils and parents! oh yes! bad behaviour seems to run thru ID like an electrical current! why is this oh please tell me! the majority seem like nice people with normal and moderate views and yet the few noisy totally hypocritical, hysterical and morally bankrupt seem to run things! i have now decided to have a break from something i love as i couldn't stand it any longer i am, however, thinking of starting a small non registered class locally just to keep my love of it bubbling away and to make small children happy - but just THINKING at the moment....good luck to you all who visit this board with your dancing - keep your chins up, eyes level and let your spirits soar!

Let us know if you start a school and how it goes. Don't stop dancing if you really love it! Wish you lived here, I need some talent in my group! (NT)Happy feet15:59:43 04/05/03 Sat
My family has found out more about the politics in ID in the last year than we ever wanted to know, and are finding out more each day. It is rough! So many secrets, so many hurt dancers.mom0201:16:22 04/08/03 Tue
I know you're not from the school we left recently, but your description of the TCRG is IDENTICAL to the one we left!!! Hopefully, there will be enough of you who learn from the mistakes of others and will open schools of your own, teaching students the love of ID rather than trying to get a thrill by using children to attempt to get yourself "known" or accepted. (Definite lack of self confidence - which is NOT what I want for my children) While it is sad, I would have to say that something good has come out of it. (MORE)Congrats to you!!08:45:21 07/20/03 Sun
