There has recently been a very interesting discussion regarding the official Croydon Athletic website, and long may it continue. But seeing as the whole point of this message board was that it should be an uncensored forum, I find it strange that so many people are getting the hump. If people are critical then just take it on the chin and get on to the next topic or reply and just hope your point is accepted. Or just use a pseudonym - after all, that's what they're for. One of the big advantages of message boards is that you can stay anonymous and say things without worrying about friends and acquaintances finding out.
I have to agree that the club site can be boring, uninformative and outdated, and I personally tend to use it because it has the links I need. If I was in possession of any news I would pass it on to Paul and he, I am sure, would put it on the site. However, what with writing match reports, editing the match programme and mis-pronouncing away team's players on match days, I have plenty to do without acting like a Rams newshound. I could spend all my spare time chasing management and officials for news, but I have enough on my plate as it is, without feeling the need to clutter up my life further. If the club would like news written to appear on their site, then they know where I am. Paul and myself are mere cogs in a wheel, but we are not part of the engine that drives it. Onward to Egham. Steve
