How about those flowerpot pens?
You could make them as singles and give one to each (no pot). It might be nice to wrap them in such a way as to still be able to use the cap. That way, they could get them home without ink getting all over their hands or purses. :-)
I think it would be lovely to have bowls or baskets of all different flower pens to hand out, and I'm sure they'd all be thrilled to get one! Easy, cheap. pretty, AND useful! What more could you want?? :-)
