In reply to: You did it! 's message, "Congratulations Miss La Crosse Oktoberfest Emma Garrison ❤️" on 10:50:49 09/10/23 Sun

First this bizarro story....La Crosse radio news guy Brad Williams (who was the 1969 Wisconsin spelling bee champion) wrote this story on Emma Garrison's victory exactly a week ago tonight, on Saturday, September 9th, 2023:

https://www.wizmnews.com/2023/09/10/emma-garrison-named-2023-miss-la-crosse-oktoberfest/

Brad really over-worked himself with details. Dumb story. And what is nearly a dozen contestants...let me guess, nine, ten, eleven or even maybe 13 pageant entrants?

WKBT News Channel 8 television had posted this on September 14:
http://www.news8000.com/entertainment/contests/miss-la-crosse---oktoberfest-2023-discusses-her-journey-with-news-8-now-this/article_8ca0a4c4-52f9-11ee-b588-8b56a4184f5f.html

And former UW-La Crosse staffer and current La Crosse school district board member Brad Quarberg wrote this story yesterday for the La Crosse Tribune.

That story was also copied to Emma's hometown Waunakee Tribune newspaper, as if Brad could not write a different story with more of a Waunakee angle, like saying what year she graduated from Waunakee High School and who are her proud parents?
