Subject: Miss Wisconsin Rapids Area pageant tonight


For those who may be interested (and some close enough to quickly travel to Wisconsin Rapids), the 2019 Miss Wisconsin Rapids Area pageant (which will include swimsuit) started tonight at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27th.

The annual event is staged at the Performing Arts Center (connected to Lincoln High School), 1801 16th Street South in Wisconsin Rapids.

Among the ten contestants participating tonight include:

Casey Abbrederis (self-defense demonstration); Kate Czarny (French monologue); Brooke Doescher (monologue); Jennifer Krakow (flute); Mackenzie Mattheis (jazz dance); Danielle Moon (classical piano); Carly Parvi (lyrical dance): Ellie Schuerman (contemporary dance); Maggie Weiland (violin); and Corryn Tetzlaff will perform a spooky science experiment (Hey, Halloween is four days away, so why not?).

In case anyone forgot, Danielle was Miss Northern Lights' Outstanding Teen 2017 (non-finalist at state); and Brooke is a four-time Miss Wisconsin Rapids Area pageant repeat contestant despite her heavy weight and bad fang-like teeth, but who's looking.

Good luck to all ten contestants; and congratulations to outgoing Miss Wisconsin Rapids 2018, Ashley Kay Ashbeck who finally won the city title on her fifth attempt at the title---only to make the Miss Wisconsin state semi-finals in June by being the so-called People's Choice winner.
