Sympathy to the family and friends of former Miss Fond du Lac 1966, Nancy Alice Schleicher Hollerup who passed away at age 74 on April 27, 2022 at Prairie Place Assisted Living in Ripon, Wisconsin.

On November 13, 1965, Ripon native Nancy Schleicher was chosen as Miss Fond du Lac 1966, and later competed in the 1966 Miss Wisconsin pageant on July 9, 1966 in Oshkosh, where she presented an acrobatic dance talent, the same routine which won her the Miss Fond du Lac crown over eight other women.

That amazing talent and her magnetic personality earned Nancy a top ten placement in the 1966 Miss Wisconsin pageant which was won by Miss West Allis, Candace Gail Hinz, a sophomore at then-Wisconsin State University in Oshkosh (now UW-Oshkosh).

Nancy later married Chris James Hollerup on Christmas eve in 1977 (he preceded her in death at age 70 on June 21, 2020), and she had two daughters (Angela and Cherise), who survive her.

A public gathering for Nancy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 777 Harvey Street in Ripon.
