Subject: Alice in Dairyland 2023 finals

Most here probably have no clue let alone attended an Alice in Dairyland finals event, but tomorrow evening is the 2023 Alice in Dairyland competition to select the state's 76th Alice in Dairyland who will ably promote all of Wisconsin's agricultural industries and tourism.

On Saturday, May 13, these six women will compete for the chance to succeed Alice in Dairyland 2022, Taylor Paige Schaefer of Franksville (Racine County) who won her title last May over in Madison:

*Ashley Hagenow, Poynette
*Shannon Marie Lamb, Dane
*Lydia M. Luebke, Kiel
*Jacquelyn (Jackie) Elaine Rosenbush, Sarona
*Charitee Logan Seebecker, Mauston
*Jodie L. Weyland, Neenah

All are first-time Alice finalists, except for Charitee Seebecker who competed last year. The big bets are for Charitee or Ashley Hagenow to win the 2023 Alice title, with third place being Jodie Weyland. See photos and biographies here and do your Alice in Dairyland prediction.

In January 2023, Jacquelyn Rosenbush of Washburn County concluded her year as Wisconsin's Fairest of the Fair. Four former Wisconsin's Fairest of the Fair has later won the coveted Alice in Dairyland title and job since the Alice program began in 1948.

Good luck to all six Alice finalists tomorrow night, 7:30 p.m., at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, and congratulations to Taylor Schaefer for an outstanding year of service which technically concludes on July 5, 2023 when the next Alice assumes the $45,000 state-taxpayer position, and a new fuel-economy automobile.
