Subject: Belated congratulations to Miss Arcadia 2021

Congratulations to Lindsey Berg, 18, of Arcadia who was selected as Miss Arcadia 2021 on May 8, 2021 after besting three other teenage contestants including first runner-up Jazlynn Salgado, an accomplished track star at Arcadia High School who won a $1,000 scholarship.

Lindsey, a recent Arcadia High School graduate and a member of the school's FBLA, will attend the Milwaukee School of Engineering later this summer. She won a $1,5000 scholarship, but will not advance to the 2022 Miss Wisconsin pageant in Oshkosh.

Starting in 2011, Miss Arcadia no longer competed at the state level. The last Miss Arcadia to compete at Miss Wisconsin was Laura Christine Benson in 2010, who won the "People's Choice Internet Vote for the Eleventh Semi-Finalist". Her mother, Marcia Louise Haines Benson, was Miss Arcadia and competed in the 1984 Miss Wisconsin pageant, but did not place.

The Miss Arcadia pageant, annually held in May, was a carry-over pageant with the winner advancing to the next year's state pageant.

The two other women competed in the 2021 Miss Arcadia pageant, which was closed to the public due to county health concerns for a public audience, were Amy Losinski and Natalie Sonsalla. Congratulations to all four women--and the community for keeping the Miss Arcadia program active.
