Sympathy and thoughtful wishes to the family of Sally A. Goff Thompson who passed away in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota at 92 on Saturday, January 1, 2022.

While living in Deerfield, Wisconsin, Sally was named Ms. Senior Wisconsin and later competed in the 1997 Ms. Senior USA contest in September 1997 held in Biloxi, Mississippi where was placed 12th among the 36 national contestants.

When asked in a March 1997 interview, how she came about being Ms. Senior Wisconsin, Sally, then 67, responded "I was approached at last summer's 1996 Wisconsin State Fair on Senior Day by the 1996 Ms. Senior Wisconsin, Patricia (Pat) Ferraro and her husband, Lou, both from Racine. Lloyd and I were dancing to Ray Neumann's Big Band. Pat thought that I would enjoy entering the coming pageant and sent me the necessary applications."

She would win the state crown and was kept busy doing an assortment of appearances and media interviews.

During her year as Ms. Senior Wisconsin, Sally promoted and advocated for patients with Alzheimer's, a neurodegenerative disease. Sadly, 24 years later, she passed away after a brave battle with Alzheimer's and cancer. Rest well Sally.
