Subject: Good luck 2021 state contestants

In case anyone forgot, or are too focused only on the upcoming Miss Wisconsin pageant next month in Oshkosh, the 2021 Miss Wisconsin-USA and Miss Wisconsin Teen-USA pageants are this weekend in Wisconsin Dells.

It will be the first time in state pageant history that this Adams County city will host the two state pageants. Nearby Lake Delton in Sauk County hosted both pageants in 2003 and 2004 (for the 2004 and 2005 title years).

The delayed state pageants, normally held in early September in Fond du Lac, will be staged with a 7 p.m. preliminary show on Saturday, May 22nd at the Chula Vista Resort with the coronation finale show at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

Among the 32 contestants for Miss Wisconsin-USA:

*Former Miss West Allis 2019, Tania Elizabeth Alvarez of Greenfield
*Former Miss Black Wisconsin and Miss Black USA 2019, TeKema Balentine of Sun Prairie/Madison
*Former Miss Wisconsin Teen-USA 2016 and second runner-up to Miss Wisconsin-USA 2020, Karly Knaus of Plymouth
*Past local Miss Wisconsin pageant contestant, Asja E. Marks of Milwaukee
*USA National Miss Wisconsin 2018/Miss Wisconsin Collegiate America 2020 and 2017 Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest entrant, Sydney Marsh of Madison/Sun Prairie
*Former Miss Fond du Lac 2014 and Miss Wisconsin Central 2017, Malainey Jane Myrin of Elkhorn
*Former Miss Fond du Lac's Outstanding Teen 2014 and Miss Harbor Cities 2019, Sarah Margaret Niehueser of Fond du Lac

*First runner-up to Miss Wis. Teen-USA 2020, Shelby Hohneke of Hudson

Congratulations to outgoing Miss Wisconsin-USA 2020, Gabriella T. Deyi, 29, of Madison/Pinole, California and Miss Wisconsin Teen-USA 2020, Olivia J. Lulich, 19, of Lyndon Station for their unexpected extended 20-month-long reign. Both will crown their successors on Sunday.
