How interesting, as it was only just seven weeks ago this story appeared in Catherine Delinda Smith's hometown Janesville Gazette newspaper and its online website back on April 19, 2024, a story titled, of all things, "Once bullied, Janesville native now competing for Miss Wisconsin."

After experiencing bullying her freshman and sophomore years at Janesville Craig High School, Catherine Smith transferred to nearby Milton High School, where she made lifelong friends, earned many academic awards — and graduated.

“I am truly thankful for the transfer,” Smith said.



---and now this bullied "mean girl" is likely to be our state's next Miss Wisconsin winner and representative for Miss America in January 2025!!
