Subject: Is Oshkosh feeling low and sad this week?


As most of you all well-know by now, the Miss Wisconsin pageant announced last September 2024 that the state pageant would relocate to New Berlin in June 2025 after being in Oshkosh for 63 years (technically 62 since there was no state pageant held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

Well, its now that time for New Berlin to shine.

But oh my, its now Miss Wisconsin pageant week, and it appears that the Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper is feeling a bit nostalgic as the hometown Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper ran a picture page yesterday (Tuesday, June 17, 2025) honoring the Miss Wisconsin pageant that graced Oshkosh for 62 years--see selected photographs here:

Too bad no photos from 1963 when the pageant moved to Oshkosh after the four previous years that Miss Wisconsin was staged and hosted by Kenosha (1959--1962) or any from the 1970s to 2010.

So, if Oshkosh can't host the pageant in 2025, at least the hometown newspaper (via online website at least) will help soothe over the hard feelings and sadness during 2025 Miss Wisconsin pageant week with a bunch of Oshkosh Northwestern photographs to take you down Miss Wisconsin pageant memory lane.
