Sympathy to current Miss Wisconsin's Teen 2025, Natalie Popp and also to the entire family of U.S. veteran Lewis Boyer Harned, who died at age 101 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, four months before his 102nd birthday on August 17, 2026.

He was the inspiration for Natalie's veterans book ("Lew for the Red, White, and Blue") back in October 2024 when she was Miss Madison's Teen 2024, and he lived to see Natalie be named Miss Wisconsin's Teen 2025 and later compete at nationals last September 2025.

Sorry to say Harned's death last Wednesday was the first of Natalie's worries. That very same day -- she lost her other vet friend Karl Kleemann at 102, 17:18:07 04/24/26 Fri
