Subject: Pageant related death


Condolences to former Miss Fond du Lac 1984, Linda Jean Suhling Trotter, now of Gypsum, Colorado, who lost her mother, June Marion Groves Suhling, 84, last Sunday (February 28, 2021).

June passed away at UW-Madison Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin after a brief illness. She was an accomplished woman who worked in state government, was elected to the Fond du Lac School Board (1976-1982), and held leadership positions with the Republican party, and supported Linda's pageant competitions---and was the mother to four.

Linda, who sang a Barbra Streisand melody in talent, placed fourth runner-up to Miss Wisconsin 1984, Barbara Marie Mullally, who competed in her second state pageant in 1984 as Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest.
