Well back in September of last year, a year ago now next week, this story told of former Miss Wisconsin 2016, Courtney Jean Pelot returning home to Manitowoc:

Now we can see why she longed for the Lake Michigan coastal city.....she was just appointed as a replacement city alderperson for the Manitowoc City Council, told in this September 17th story:
