Girls that are bustier on top and on the heavy side need to stay away from low-cutting gowns. Both La Crosse and South Central chose gowns that did not flatter them. It wasn't necessarily the gown itself, which the judges shouldn't be evaluating in the first place, but how the girl presented hereself in the gown. La Crosse would have been a lot better off sticking with the green gown that she wore for her local compeiition. It was simple, fit her perfectly, and she really popped when she came out wearing it. I'll never understand why so many of these girls have to change gowns for the state competition. If you have something that works and looks good on you, don't mess with changing it.
