Subject: Election day in Wisconsin


For those pageant fans who need an additional reason to take time to vote today, let alone spend time researching the candidates and their experience and interests, there are two former pageant women on the statewide ballot in today's Wisconsin primary election, Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

Former Wisconsin's Junior Miss 1976, Evangeline Mary (Leah) Vukmir, is giving up her state senate job--win or lose in today's Wisconsin US Senate Republican primary. If Kevin Nicholson wins or if Leah wins, she will depart the state senate either way.

Former Miss Ohio Teen-USA 1994, Rebecca Margaret Reed Kleefisch is running for a third term as Wisconsin's Lt. Governor in the Republican primary today.

Good luck to all running for local, regional, or state elected office. At least a test in swimsuit is not involved in deciding who will get the most votes today. Gretchen Carlson should take the blame or credit for that. Go vote.
