A belated word of congratulations to Thomas Myrin, who was re-elected last Tuesday (April 2nd) as a member of the Elkhorn City Council. He is the father of former Miss Fond du Lac 2014 and Miss Wood Violet 2016, Malainey Jane Myrin:

And congratulations to former Miss Beloit 1990, Miss Wisconsin Central 1992, and Miss Wisconsin 1992, Stephanie Ann Klett of Beloit who was named president of Visit Lake Geneva (The Lake Geneva Visitors Center). She began her job this past Sunday (April 8, 2019).

Stephanie, a former host of the syndicated Discover Wisconsin tourism show, was the state tourism secretary from 2011 to 2019. She was removed from office in January upon the re-election loss last November of then-Governor Scott Walker. Good luck in promoting Lake Geneva and southcentral Wisconsin!!

And speaking of November 2018 election night losers, former Wisconsin Lt. Governor, Rebecca Reed Kleefisch, who was Miss Ohio Teen-USA 1994, was chosen as leader of the Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission located in Washington, District of Columbia.

Rebecca's selection is timely as this year marks the 100th year when, on June 10, 1919, Wisconsin became the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment. The amendment was adopted on August 18, 1920, granting women's suffrage.
