Subject: John Seevers, John Gill, Harvey Gill Zanesville OH 1920-30

I am trying to verify the connection between the Barlow, Gill and Seever families in the Muskingum Co OH area around 1920-30. Most of my info comes from family sources and is somewhat supported by the census records.

Mabel Barlow b 1891 in Zanesville OH m John Seevers b abt 1895(est from 1920 census). They are living with Mabel's family--Frank J. Barlow and Nettie in Zanesville on the 1920 census. John Seevers either dies or there is a divorce, because Mabel is married to Harvey(Harve?) Gill(b est 1887 in OH) on 1930 census. They are living in Falls Twp, Muskingum Co OH. Harvey's father, John (b est 1853) is living with them. In addition there is a Nettie age 66 who is listed as the mother of Harvey, however, I think that this is Nettie Barlow(Mabel's mother) who according to family story married John Gill from Cumberland OH after her husband Frank Barlow died in 1922. So Nettie is both step mother to Harvey and mother to Mabel.

I am wondering if this John Gill could be the husband of Martha Jane Seevers I found on your rootsweb file. Also, I am wondering if John Seevers is somehow connected to the Seevers side?

Regards,
Chris Wade
