Subject: Jacob Carpenter

David Carpenter was born April 23, 1832

I feel that Jacob Carpenter's first wife Elizabeth Denten was David Carpenter's birth Mother,

even tho he declared Barbara Ann Coss as his Mother.

Elizabeth Denten died December 1832. Jacob married his second wife, Barbara Coss, December 30, 1832.

I have a copy of the marriage record from family search for both Jacob and Barbara Coss.

David Carpenter B: 23 Apr 1832 was married to Sarah Elizabeth Seevers, whose parents were William Seevers and Elizabeth Devolid.

In the tree you have Barbara Ann Coss. She was Jacob's 2nd wife.David was raised by her. He listed her as his Mother.

I at one time sent my tree to the Seevers page and so I might have given you the name Barbara Coss. I have corrected my tree in ancestry and family search to Elizabeth Denten.
