Audits flickered as she heard the approach of another causing her to lift her steel crania to observe. Her visage remained curious, but her tenseness lingered in her body as she switched over to defensive mode. Crystal optics danced with slight aggression and remained distant, but his sarcastic tones brought forth her own vocals.

True, she stated thinking of how to reply to him, but I can take care of myself. She spoke with pride, but it was also her great independence that caused her to use that reply. She refused to let any vulnerability or weakness leak from her weary and exhausted state of mind. His remark had been slightly amusing and she gazed at him for a second, her tenseness leaving her and her curiosity continued to grow.

She refrained from telling him anything...yet.
