Life sighted the stallion and sensed his presence. She pranced a little, interested in the unknown one. She returned a nicker, not overly friendly, but not harsh, for she did not want to appear rude. Her fourteen year old body had a mind of a four year old, and she had lived an interesting life, but sadly not enjoyed it. As her nares took in the aroma of the palomino, she eyed him with a scrutinizing stare. The wind whistled between them, releasing a delicate sound that caused her horns to flicker. Finally, she was satisfied and waited for him to introduce himself.
