Pate was lowered to tear at the fresh shoots. The brute had given her the perfect opportunity to escape from him but what was the point? When she felt like it, she could always just challenge for her freedom. Past those thoughts, she was completely ignoring the others. It was enough that she was here, wasn't it? Just because he'd 'claimed' her didn't mean that she had to like him or anyone else on this god forsaken island.
