I dont know if you are doing anything wrong Reid. What I think is that the talent base of the runners that are choosing to stay here in Canada is deep enough to put up better times on the track. I believe that there are 50 men at the Canadian Universities that can run in the 14.20's - 14.30's for 5000m. I dont see it happening. If 50 run these times then 25 will run 14.15-30. 10 will run 14.10-15 and at least 5 will break 14 min. Only when this basic need is met will we see more men running at or under the olympic standards. It's a train of thought. If we dont believe we can run these times we wont.
