Regarding: Robert (Rocky) Monde, 505th PIR, 82nd Aborne,
H-MINUS, PATNTHERS
My brother was killed in action June 11,1944. Assume it was at St.Mere-Eglise. We wish to know how and where he died. What scirmish he was in at the time of his death. My brother,Robert, was 5'8" tall,brown eyes, black hair,ruddy complexion. He was born in Lorain, Ohio, but later moved to Buffalo,New York. He completed the prescribed scheduled of training at The Infantry Replacement Center, Camp Croft, South Carolina (10/26/1942-01/23/1943). Commanding Batallion, B.J.Beatty, Lt.Col.31st Inf. and Lt. Col. Gerald Greeve, Lt. Col. Infantry. Robert also had a brother Donald who was with the 504th PIR.

We would appreciate any information on Robert or anyone who knew him.
