I know troopers used ovals throught out the war, but I thought I remember reading that it was not common in the 505 until later in the war.
If this is so, did the Regt even have the design/use of ovals before say mid-'44? Earliest wear date? I'm trying to put together an impression of the 505 before they shipped overseas.
