ALL THE WAY!

My name is David H. Thomas & I'm with the 82nd Airborne Division War
Memorial Museum Living History Detachment, or more simply, the LHD!
We are a group of dedicated enthusiasts who portray F Co 505th PIR in
WWII. Our membership is spread throughout the eastern US, but our two
main elements are at Fort Bragg, home of the Division Museum and the
82nd Airborne Division, and Columbia, SC. Our unit does living
history interpretations for the community, the 82d Museum, the
Airborne and Special Ops Museum (ASOM) as well as support the active
duty troopers of the 82d ABN DIV for unit functions, ceremonies, and
other events. We have the full support of the Division Commander, MG
Caldwell, as well as the Division Museum and the 82nd Airborne
Division Historical Society. Our unit is comprised of Active Duty
Troopers from the 82nd as well as other units on Fort Bragg & Pope
AFB, and civilian military enthusiasts. We also have the unique
resource in being able to utilize the Division Archives to research our
impressions and present what we consider to be the most accurate
portrayl of an 82nd Trooper during WWII, as well as in other
conflicts.

In May of this year, the Division is tentatively scheduled to hold its
ALL-AMERICAN WEEK festivities, celebrating the rich heritage and
traditions of the Division, inviting the veterans of the Division
"back to Bragg," and culminating in a Division Review and Joint
Readiness Training Exercise on Sicily DZ. Each year we invite fellow
82nd reenactors & others to participate in a living history encampment
w/ our F Company troopers on the grounds of the Museum. We are in the
planning stages for this year's All-American Week & would like to know
if you're unit is interested in participating in this unique event.
Last year we were able to coordinate for barracks space for the
reenactors who did come from out-of-town, as well as access to Post
Dining Facilities for meals and other Post facilities.
