Subject: Did anyone know Lawrence R. Solari

My dad was Lawrence R. Solari from Co. F, 505 Parachute Infantry 82nd Airborne. He was a squad leader 653, Combat Infantryman. Battles and campaigns included: Naples-Foggia, Normandy. Decorations and citations on his discharge papers read: Good conduct medal, purple heart, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. He was wounded in action 24 June 1944 Normandy.
It would be wonderful to hear from someone that knew my dad in the service. I am his daughter and was 10 months old when he died of related war injuries. My mother met him when he was in Hammond Hospital in Modesto California after WWII. I believe he was in there for nearly a year recovering from a shrapnel injury to his leg.
Thank you. Janie
