sorry I do not have any info fro you on your brother but I too am trying to locate information on my grandfather. He was also with the 505th Parachute Infantry, 82nd "All American" Airborne Division.
He was a veteran of Sicily and Italy but was MIA and later listed as killed in action 11 June 1944. His name was Sgt. Thomas C. Whitted, 18109065.
I did locate a website www.nara.gov/nara/searchnail.html were you can request records.
Again, sorry I could not help you. I would love to see if there is a reunion group of these men around too.
