Subject: Carbine Scabbard

A aquintance of mine, called me a couple of weeks ago with a question about a M1 Carbine Jump Case. He sells items on consignment for others. He had sold this one for a couple of hundred bucks, but the buyer backed out of the deal. He had claimed the case was not original, but a repro. He said that the manufacturer did not exsist during the war, but when ask for his references, the buyer could not produce them. Long enough story.
The scabbard is standard issue (not rigger modified)and in good condition, and is Stenciled on the inside of the flap.
the manufacturer mark reads "MILLTEX PRODUCTS INC. 1943".
Did this manufacturer exsist during the war? Can anyone tell me where I could get more information about the M1 Jump scabbards?

"All the Way"
