Subject: Col Bob Piper Book is Out

Guys, I just got my copy of the New Michel Detrez book on Col Bob Piper and it is great with a lot of period photos. Most are of 505 PIR officers, but lots to look at. I ordered this from Amazon way back last summer, and they apparently got some copies in. An interesting section is on Piper's wife, Evelyn (Steve) Stevens who was the 505 Red Cross girl who traveled with the 505th. Lots of nice photos and well worth the price. Col Piper carried a Grease Gun, and one of the few I've seen with the 82nd.
