Hi,
Don't worry Alain about our physical condition. We promised ourself to be well prepared. A month before the march starts, we don't watch women anymore, we stop smoking and we only drink orange juice.
Great websites, i already visited them a couple of times. When we meet eachother at the march we must certainly talk about how you make all that replica gear. Great stuff for living history.
Dirk

Hi Dirk & Stijn,

Sure thing ! I'll let you know as soon as I have the date (Jan/Feb 2003)- the only cost is a small registration fee of € 5.00 ea. to be paid to E. Lacroix (on site)- I take it, you guys are the 'healthy' type, 'cause the hike can sometimes be tough, considering terrain and weather conditions ... Best Regards, Alain
(in case you have some spare time - feel free to visit my European website "Strictly G.I." - http://users.skynet.be/jeeper and my (I am co-author) US-shared website "WWII Combat Medics" - i.e. http://home.att.net/~steinert/ - Alain)

Hi Dirk,
It doesn't make any sense to already contact Emile LACROIX now ! The planning of the annual march "In the Footsteps of the 82d Abn Div" which usually takes place in FEBRUARY (sometimes end January) can only be finalized in December since Emile has to coordinate with possible visit of US Vets and liaise with US military authorities in Germany too ... I should know by end Nov early Dec , for your info , just note that official invitations are also mailed end Dec early Jan - Rgds - Alain

Hi,
Does anyone know the coördinates of the group that organises the 82nd Airborne Commemorative March in the Ardennes each year. I want to ask them when they are planning their march this year and when. If i know the exact dates i can make arrangements for our basecamp in the Reharmont Basse Bodeux area.
Dirk
