Subject: Military Collectors Show report

I set up a sales table at the military collectors show at the North Portland Antique and Flea Market today.

Sales for me were not that great however I did not have anything really terrific to offer there this time. Consequently this should not be used as a guage regarding the viability of setting up there in future.

I did procure a wartime dated T-7 main container with a repro cover panel assembly and a canopy for a T-7A reserve container with suspension lines intact. Bob Bashaw at Vintage Parachutes should be able to help me get the rest of the assembly for the T-7 together.

There was also a very nice class A uniform with an 82nd Airborne Division patch on the right shoulder and a 17th Airborne Division patch on the left. Included with this was an artillery overseas cap with a hat device.

Many 82nd veterans were assigned to the 17th AB prior to shipping back home from europe and I suspect the vet who owned this uniform was one of these.

Gerald Peterson, Dana Gerath, and I were the only 3/505ers I saw at the show to my knowledge.
