Subject: New 'Buffy' issue out today - spoilers below!

So the nutcase black-haired woman who's helping bring back vampires 200 years in the future turns out not to be Drusilla after all, but Willow.

Yep, she's STILL alive. (stopped aging in her mid-20s?) Motives are pretty unclear, though. And the hair's only partially dark. She's definitely responsible for the chaos and carnage (spreading the "beloved infection" of vampirism) and the one responsible for bringing Buffy into the future, but also seems genuinely upset that Buffy is unhappy. Hmmm. The really interesting thing, to me anyway, is that the dialogue in the issue constatntly tries for misdirection, making you think they're all talking about Drusilla, and yet the illustrations pretty much give away that it's really Willow long before the final panel. In fact, it's clearly her and Harth on the alternate cover art. Whatever Joss is going for here, it's clearly more grey than black and white. Season Eight is starting to get very complicated.

Oh, and Xander finally gets around to riding Dawn. But I'm sure no one's interested in that.
