Subject: Some new UK shows to look out for

Wow it is quiet here these days!

Just thought I would point you guys in the direction of a couple of new UK shows.

Being Human started on BBC3 a couple of weeks ago. It is about a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost who share a house together. The werewolf and vampire are good friends who are trying to help each other to not hurt humans. Lots of Buffy like themes - funny dialogue, great relationships, characters you care about, lots of gothic horror and hints of back story. I am really enjoying it. Oh and it has a hot tortured vampire who is trying not to drink human blood. Ring any bells? I'd recommend it.

The other one is Merlin. Sightly old news because it was on before Xmas here, but I believe they started showing it in the US recently. Not really like BtVS except that it has a great central relationship between the young Merlin and Prince Arthur, and lots of magic. It also stars Anthony Head as Arthur's father King Uther. He is fantastic in this show. He plays a genuinely 3d character who you hate one minute and are rooting for the next. Again - highly recommended.

I agree with you on both picks! Naturally I also add Torchwood. :)
