Random Linnit Quiz 003
1. I believe that writers always reveal elements of themselves in their writing, even if the revelation is only their drawing from real life experience as they narrate their tale. I believe, though, that writers’ of long series stories and TV Shows invariably are tempted to sneak themselves into the storylines somewhere, either as cameo appearances or even as a main character. A good example is Stephen King’s character, John Shannow, in the Dark Tower series of books. King has oft admitted that Shannow and he share more characteristics that he is sometimes comfortable about.Have a think about BtVS and AtS. Is there a particular character, perhaps in a particular episode that you think Joss Whedon or a writer used as their vehicle to reveal something real or fantasised of themselves?

2. Missing episodes. I always wanted a fun series four episode. The Scoobies to have a midnight beach party and BBQ episode. The Big Bad of the Week would be a Mesmerising MerDemon out to deprive Buffy of a pearl encrusted stake whittled from Davy Crockets locker; Spike wailing about salt water spoiling his leathers as he flails in the surf as he tries to pirate away the booty from Buffy and MerDemon; Xander and Oz skinnydipping and Willow dabbling in wicca resuscitation spells. What is your dream missing episode?

3. Claire Sweeney sings, “My baby loves me just the way that I am.” SpouseLinnit is a martyr to my dark, dark moods and my wild madcap ideas that usually cost him money. Despite those two teensy blemishes in my perfection, he still loves me just the way that I am! What bits of you / about you does it take only someone who really loves you to put up with?

4. Looking at it from the other side of the coin… and hypothetically speaking, how much would you put up with if your other half was: Season Two Spike; Season Five Buffy; Evil Angel; DarkWillow; Drusilla?

5. Caffene or decaf?

6. Chocolate or savoury?

7. Diamonds or wheels?

8. Tap or bottled water?

9. You have to do National Service, but can choose the branch of military you join. Do you join: Air Force, Army, Navy, Medical Corps, Military Band?

10. “A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.” Does it?
That’s all folks!

Random Linnit Quiz 003
1. I don't really think that the writers of Buffy have directly tried to write an episode which directly reflects their lives, but I would agree that a lot of what they write necessarily reflects their concerns and what they have experienced. I know that there was some talk that some of the more controversial Buffy episodes may have had some basis in Marti Noxon's own life. And the idea of isolated geeks must surely have had some basis in Joss' high school experience. And of course there is the weird funny geek in each of his shows, although increasingly they tend to amoral psychosis, which is a bit worrying.

2. Not sure I have a dream missing episode as such, but I am sure in season 7 there was a direction, more trippy perhaps, that they didn't go in and I would have liked to have seen it.

3. Probably my tendency to over analyse absolutely everything in the entire world.

4. I think I'd only put up with season 5 buffy and evil angel. The rest would be too annoying or too much work.

5. Caffene

6. Savoury?

7. Neither?

8. Tap water in a bottle

9. I guess the medical corps, but I tend towards squeamishness, so perhaps the Navy.

10. “No, medicine tastes fine nowadays

Good to see you back!

No, sadly not, although that made me realise just how long I've been hanging out here!

I'm a qualified lawyer now, living in London and also engaged to Mr Kashmanik. Which is nice.

Hope you're well, great to see you - definitely stick around, hopefully it will encourage others to stay!

I'll engage you to fight my corner anytime, RJA!!

I'm definitely going to be staying around for a while now I've started posting again! But, I will be away for the next three weeks as we're off to Mexico tomorrow, Spouse, MiniLinnit and EldestGrandsonLinnt!!

I'll be zipping through the treetops scaring the local wildlife and scuba-ing through cenotes and into the mangroves, scaring the Mexicans! Spouse and the boys will be lying in hammocks, drinking strawberry daquiris and reading sci-fi novels... *or it could be t'other way round?!*

You and Kashy, eh!?! Well... I never have been a bridesmaid, you know... just in case....
