Subject: Rewatch Never Kill a Boy on the First Date

The rise of the Anointed One, or Annoying One, happens in this ep.

Giles getting stuffed into the corpse drawer is rather funny.

The part about Buffy not knowing the Anointed One came true during this ep.

Gotta kinda feel sorry for Buffy's date getting caught up in all the wierdness lol

1) Willow's description of Owen sounds a lot like Angel.

"He's solitary, mysterious... He can brood for forty minutes straight"

It also sounds like Willow has a bit of a crush on Owen.

2) Near the end, Xander stops Willow from telling Buffy that Owen is still alive (until the fight is over, when Buffy will surely realize it on her own). He does this because he knows that Buffy's anger is making her fight more effectively.

This foreshadows events in "Becoming II", when Xander for basically the same reason, doesn't tell Buffy that Willow is trying the reensouling spell again.

I like "He has a certain Owenosity" and "You killed my date!!" and "She doesn't like to dance, she doesn't like to be touched, in fact, don't even look at her."

And when Giles shows up and he says he is there because she didn't return library books and yells after her "You'll face a stiff fine in the morning!" and Owen says "Boy, you really care about your work" I'm not sure all these quotes are totally accurate, I'm just going by memory.

And at the Bronze with Owen when she says "Remember when you said I was two girls, well, one has to leave but the other is having a really good time!"

I really love Season one, two and three.
