Hi YAH :)

place me in the list of people who want Sarah and James back as buffy and Spike. More so James :) It's funny, but no matter what I see him in, I find myself wishing he would crack out some vintage Spike. Don't get me wrong, he's a fabulous actor but i miss me some spike :(

As for Sarah, well, she is a bit like Eliza .. I see them in something where they are playing someone who is being chased and I just want them to turn around and Buffy/Faith slap their chaser :D

Hope everyone is well!! I still think of this board and many MANY of the posters who were like a ray of sunshine to me (and some who gave me the occasional internet crush):D oh! and I cannot walk through a supermarket and see marshmallow fluff and NOT think of tg and MTsFan and others who frequented this board. huggles xxx

Since I see through the eyes of myth, I have been pretty fortunate in seeing the great talent I most appreciate show up elsewhere and show off that great talent Joss saw "in the bud" for many of these people. Danny Strong especially comes to mind. Just Wow, what hasn't he done successfully?
Amnber Benson is very busy, and I really think we just wish they had done a movie, like Firefly/Serenity got.

But my favorites are ASH, SMG, JM as actors, I think DB was lovely in B/A/us and "too much David" goofiness showed up on ATS because Joss really doesn't trust (or like) someone too good and too good looking in one package--which is why Spike without Buffy "ticked off" a lot of fans; and all the ramifications of mythical significance, without breaking every "rule" to define his story. No, I did not think Buffy ever gained her own power after SR. Period. (Including the comics, of which I am usually on the opposite side of 'reviews' on what is "good" or significant--I am looking for the "happy ever after of 'the world is destroyed' and Buffy makes it to normal; Angel shanshues, and Spike gets to be the vampire with a soul poet, telling the tale as accomplished as Yeats. And! CC for great comedic timing, more than this femme fatale thingie because of her figure. (I know, I know too gorgeous to believe humans come like this).

Yes, I would really have a good "ending" to the entire BTVS/ATS franchise and Buffy actually *either * is an avatar forever (and we know it with Dawn's kids showing up in her world); or she becomes an adult and the fairy tale view of the characters is sorted. AFterall, the adults always disappeared or people "died" which says to me they grew up, as "death" was the overarching metaphor always in most symbols, even down to the color of clothing.

I really, biggest wish Joss would do a show the way he starts them, aka "all of it," but "design" the entire story and sell it that way, even if it is less than 5 years. I don't really care for his "juggle" several balls in the air as each and every show turns sour/south to me because of it.
I am glad to have seen Tim Minear's writing...get cancelled in every single show he touches. He is my favorite writer after Joss. (Brian Lynch has a great Spike voice in the comics).

There is simply no excuse for the network bungling the airing as they have done on Joss's projects.

I guess I get bitter that I will never be as entranced and enchanted as I was with BTVS and her Odyssey and miss that great magic. I think it was like falling in love or something to see something resonate like that, especially since my own life was too much a mirror to Angel, with my own story of immigration/atonement.

I do remember several people I utterly admired and enjoyed here, but have no clue where they went or if they "changed their names, for whatever reason.

I have been a B/A shipper because that is the mythical rendering, with Spike as "same" and "shadow" to Buffy, as is Faith to Angel, which the comics finally figured out. Spike seems poised to really grow and not settle for being a "half thing" with Buffy in being her "dark place."

I admit I am a sucker for all things Joss, even if I really never will like his finales or "everything is evil" POV. It’s not “complete” or actually “honest” in the reality he actually successfully describes in the complex, colorful, creative, emotional lives of his characters.

Glad to see some of you trying to find old friends; I think Michael tells a wonderful one sentence story on the other General thread each day, and some of your inside jokes can be reprised and joined there. I am sure that effort applauded will be fun for all you. I hope some of us want to talk about Buffy, since we do see her story holds up, even as we get begin to grow more rickety or even set in some ways.

Be well!
