Subject: New issue of 'Buffy' out today! (mild spoilers)

I hate to say it, but this is the first issue I haven't liked.

Other than the novelty aspect of the plot and illustrations, I don't understand the point. Buffy doesn't really learn anything or make any progress besides possibly feeling guilty over erasing the future (Fray's past). Nothing of any significance (apparently) happens.

And maybe it's just because I'm always hyper-aware when I'm dreaming, but I have a hard time buying the premise that she wouldn't know that she was asleep.

It was mildly cute, but I'm pretty impatient for the next issue to show up - this one didn't really satiate my insatiable 'Buffy' craving.

Realize that she's dreaming, that is.

"Y'know, Morgala, you come into my dream..."

At any rate, this issue is basically about Buffy and exploring where she is emotionally. (And Buffy getting a reminder that while a lot of things have changed, the more important things haven't.)

On December 19 he posted a good review of the issue.

(And if you scroll down the "Links" section of the page, there's a link called "Season 8 links" which goes to a page that has all of his Season 8 reviews.)

I had the opposite reaction. This was the first issue that felt like it could have been an episode of the show. Possibly because it fleshed out the might have been animated series.

This one had real emotional depth.

BTW, is it just me or does the artwork on the Angel comic look particularly crappy?

I am fine without the pneumatic bosoms and chiseled bodies of most superhero comics, but come on.
